Kapernick family

Thanks for your reply Cynthia to my query on the kapernick family.

I am descended from the Kapernick family in Queensland Australia. From my research of passenger lists 3 brothers came out from Stettin in Pommerania and settled in Queensland. Pommerania was then a Prussian province but is now part of Poland and the town has been renamed Sczeczin. I found a Kapernick on ship lists that came out to the U.S.A on ship lists from Berlin- I believe there may be a connection between the two families. My grandfather mentioned to me that his father- one of the original brothers that came to Qld - talked about relatives in Berlin. Therefore I would be pleased to have a copy of any document you have and one day I will find the link. It's not as if Kapernick is a hugely common name like Smith so there is a strong likelihood.
