My father was Charlie Adank from Newport, KY. He died in 1963. To my knowledge I am the last person in this family who can pass on the family surname. My father had a daughter from his first marriage; she is named Terry. His brother, Walter ("Bo"), had only one child, a girl. I had a number of aunts who left surviving family (Helen [never married], Thelma [2 kids], Vera [3], and Florence [13]). Florence is the only surviving aunt. I think there may have been another male brother, but cannot confirm his existence. I was not very close to my dad's people since my mother was a southerner and afetr being widowed we lived in central Georgia. Many of them were quite dissipated and drank heavily. If you wish to contact me I will have email only until Monday, as I have decided to disconnect the internet. I am curious to know anything about my father's family. Are you and I related? I am 43 and have 3 kids (2 sons); our family name will survive.
