In Response To: Re: Critoph Family History (Shyanne Sullivan)

My father, Gerald Ernest was one of William Critoph's sons. When I was 16 (now 46), my mom and dad took me to trace our family roots. We went to Swanton Morley and Yaxam. We saw a mill that had been owned by a William Critoph (probably my father's grandfather). We saw the actual property title with his signature. We also saw the shop where my grandfather worked as a young man and the house in which he and his siblings were born.

Don Critoph in Buffalo is my cousin. His father Richard was my father's oldest brother. They also had a brother David, a sister Edna (still living) and another brother, Bobby, who was drown when he was four and my father was six. Their father, William died 2 months before Bobby from blood poisoning. He was a butcher who did not think much of doctors and had cut himself.

E-mail me back if you want to know more.
