In Response To: Re: Critoph Family History (Don Leak)

This is an addition to my previous message regarding my trip to England. In Yaxam, we were looking for a Methodist church that might have Critophs listed in their registry. As we were looking for the church, an Anglican Rector recognized us as American tourists and asked if he could help us. We told him of our quest to retrace Aunt Mary's trip. We was extremely pleasant to us until we told him we were looking for a Methodist church. At that, he simply turned away without saying a word and walked away. Apparently, the ancestors of members of the Methodist or "Low Church" are not considered worthy of the time of a Rector from the Anglican church or "High Church". It was am interesting experience for a 16 year old American white girl to be treated with the same prejudice I witnessed in America toward minorities.

We also happened to run into a decendent of Abraham Lincoln. She had been to America for a grand reunion of everyone that in some way was related to him.

I told my mom about the mill being a B&B. She was very amused.

Is there any information you need from me regarding our side of the family?
