Hello all!
I have been resaerching my Whibley/Boyce lines and came across the Edgeler surname.
My great grandma Amy Jane Boyce born Aug 23, 1866
her parents were:
William Henry Boyce born approx 1840 Sheffield, York England MARRIED Harriett Eliza S Edgeler born approx. 1839 Islington, Middlesex England
MARRIAGE date June 1870 in Lambeth, Surrey England.
FOUND on the 1881 British Census address 51 Doddington Grove(2 Grove Cottage) Battersea, Surrey, England
William H. Boyce 39 Head
Harriett Boyce 38 Wife
Harriett A. Boyce 17 Dau
Amy J. Boyce 14 Dau
William H. Boyce 10 Son
(twin)
Alfred E. Boyce 10 Son
(twin)
Alfred Boyce 67 Father
Occupation of father and head:Whitesmith.
As I am typing this I have realized that my great grandma Amy and her sister Harriett A. were born before William and Harriett's marriage date. They would have to be Harriett(their mom's)children because the daughter is named after her....I can't believe I just noticed that.
Anyway, Amy Jane Boyce married my g grandpa Henry Thomas Whibley moved to Canada, where my family resides today. Not very many of us Whibley's out there either, interesting to note that I spent 6 months of 2000 in NZ and there are Whibley's there, wasn't interested in genealogy at the time...sad. Hope all is well and just hoping that someone can put my Edgeler into their family Harriett Eliza S.
