My father, Dennis Gallaher, told me as a boy a little about his grandfather General Johnston. My father's mother's maiden name was Johnston. The only thing he really said was that his grandfather General Johnston was a successfull southern general for the confederate army. Also he said that they kept his sword and other things in the closet. He was raised in Guthrie Oklahoma. My father's mother died young after giving birth to his sister Virginia Gallaher Gibbs. His father Harry Gallaher remarried to Fern Gallaher and they had two girls. I would be curious to find if this has any relevance.
