Stephen....My father's name is James Biggerstaff Alcroft (80 and living in North Carolina), he had a brother named Albert (deceased) and a brother named Andrew (killed in WW2). he had a cousin named Sammy. My grandfather was Albert Edward Alcroft who was a famous golfer in Scotland and migrated to USA in the 20's, while his sister Maggie moved to Australia with her brother, (Sammy,I think)...His father and brother were both national swimming champions of Scotland in the late 1800's...ironically, they both drowned trying to help a boy get his boat out of the reeds....I have the newspaper article....let's see if we can help each other out...there are not too many Alcroft's out there and it would be interesting to see how we might be related...Best jamiealcroft@cs.com
