My father albert lawrence (1927) was searching for info about his young birth mother Theresa loscombe, (1910) of bowmanville, ont.
Her obiturary states that she resided in oshawa. My dad died 2 years ago and I would like to put some closure on his search. please contact me.

Loscombe was the name of my mother's maternal family. They lived in Bowmanwille Ontario Canada from at least 1865. I have a book titled Goldsmith Illustrated Works inscribed by Mrs. Robert Russell Loscombe. The name Catherine Loscombe is also written on the top of the Contents page.
A book of Shakespeares Plays dated 1785 is inscribed " Presented to the family of Charles Robert Loscombe by their great aunt Anne Rupell.
A book entitled Homeri Ilias dated 1817 has the name Frank R. Loscombe written in it.
My mother's grandparents had one daughter,Alice, who married Dr. David Scott Hoig and resided on Oshawa Ontario, and so there are no more Loscombe's in my family.
