Missing Father

My father has been missing since !942. I recently found his second family and they believe he died in a steel mill in Ohio in 1972. They were not sure where or when as he had also left them. We know he had ties to the Youngstown area and had worked in the mills there in the 1950's. His name is Thomas Patrick Walker. He was born 3-13-1912 in Butler Co. Pennsylvania. I do not have a SSnumber nor can I find him on SSDI. Any help much appreciated. Thanks
