First of all, I’d like to say thank you. I recently visited your Web-Site and managed to locate a wealth of additional information concerning my Loscombe family history. Also, after just reading your reply to my original message, it appears that you and I are related! Your Great-Grandmother, Mary Loscombe, was my Great-Aunt.
In regard to the boy that William (John Dyer) and Gwenllian adopted, (in Sept 1893) was my Grandfather. (His name was William James Loscombe, born 9 June 1891, died April 1946.
In March 1897, Gwenllian, Mary, and William (Jr.) immigrated to Scranton, Pa. William (John Dyer) followed suit, 30 October 1897. They settled in Scranton. William (John Dyer) worked in the coal mines (of Lackawanna county). He died 23 Dec. 1906. Scranton, Pa. Gwenllian was married three times. After William (John Dyer) died, she remarried a Thomas Slugg. After his (Slugg’s) death, she was remarried a third and final time, to Miles (or Myles) Morgan. Mr. Morgan died 3 Aug 1922.

William John Dyer was born 05 Mar. 1855 in England. He died 23 Dec. 1906 in Scranton, Pa Gwenllian Evans was born 15 Feb 1867 in Maesteg, SW. She died 02 Nov 1921 in Scranton, Pa

Margaret Eleanor Lewis born 1893, in Maesteg, South Wales. Died November 1952, in Scranton, Pa.
