I don't know of Henry Caviness, but I am researching W. Edgar Caviness who was married to Nancy Jane Self. He is my great-grandfather and the only record from any public record I have found shows a W. Caviness in Benton, Arkansas. The family of Nancy Self ended up in Prairie Grove, Ark. There is also a mention of an elder named Joab Caviness listed in the records of the Bethlehem Mission Baptist Church in Fayetteville where other members of the family are found in the records. I am referring to the Selfs and Hales. There is quite a bit of information available on my great-grandmother, but little information I've been able to find about my grandfather. I believe he went mostly by Edgar. If you could give any information concerning this person it would be greatly appreciated as a family member who has been tracing the Selfs for years has said that all Prairie Grove records burned with the church there.
