In Response To: seaching for Fachnie's (Rob Fachnie)

I received an enquiry from Charlene re an enquiry that I listed on the Perthshire site.
I replied directly to Charlene.
I have a six page letter from a Dr. J. David
Fachnie that was sent to my father in 1984.
In the letter he mentions Fachnie's or Faichney's
to Beauport, QC.
Other details in the letter mentions the following:
"Farchney, William, and Farchney, James arrived in New York or New Jersey 1819. This is clearly
mispelled. (Boyer, Ship Passenger Lists, 3rd Edition. The Compiler, 1978)".
William Faichney above I believe is one of my
relatives who settled in Oxbow, NY. I visited
his grave site this past summer and there are a
number of Faichney's buried there.
William was born in 1788 and he had a brother
James born in 1790 in Muthill, Perthshire.
