MacFarlane's geneology on the Isle of Lewis

I am trying to verify some geneology findings regarding my great great grandparents that I beleive to have come to Canada from the Stornaway area in 1851. There names were Murdoch and Christian (ne MacLean daugter of Alexander MacLean and Isabelle MacKenzie). Murdoch was born Sept.9,1829 at Gearraghuirn, Stornaway to John MacFarlane and Anne MacIver who married about 1814 in Barvis.
Any information that forwarded to me would be much appreciated.
